The Truth About RHOP Star Robyn Dixon's Engagement Ring

Real Housewives of Potomac star Robyn Dixon recently got engaged to her ex-husband, former NBA player Juan Dixon, and she's doing things different this time around.

The high school sweethearts were first married in 2006 and went on to have two children together. They divorced in 2012, but continued living together for the sake of their kids. The couple slowly put their relationship back together, culminating in their recent re-engagement (via People).

Dixon shared several photos of the engagement (and of course, the ring) on Instagram. "Sweeter the second time around!" she wrote. "Thank you to everyone who loved, supported, rooted and prayed for Juan and I. We truly appreciate all of the love and congratulatory wishes as we embark on #DixonsPartDeux."

Robyn Dixon didn't want a diamond engagement ring

Since it's the second time the couple have been engaged, Dixon wanted to do things a little bit differently this time around. She was dead set against having a diamond engagement ring and made sure that her hubby-to-be knew it well before he proposed. Dixon's fiancé clearly paid good attention to what she wanted. He had the engagement ring custom made by NYC jeweler Nicole Rose Kopelman, who told Bravo that the emerald cut morganite center stone weighs in at a hefty five carats, with 1.2 carats of diamonds accenting the sparkler.

"An untraditional relationship calls for a non-traditional ring!" she wrote. "I told a little birdie that if Juan ever proposed, I didn't want a diamond ring...that didn't work out too well the first time, lol. I fell in love with the Pink Morganite stone because I wanted something with significance and meaning. Morganite represents unconditional love – something that our relationship exhibits and has relied upon."

Robyn and Juan Dixon certainly have had an unconventional relationship, but the couple is proof that true love will find a way.
