Singers Who Have Really Gorgeous Husbands
Famous singers live their lives in the public eye, their rich and fabulous lifestyles often scrutinized by the general public. These artists live the lives of gorgeous celebrities, gracing the covers of magazines and ruling the radio waves. And it seems that beautiful people have a way of attracting other beautiful people because a lot of our favorite singers also have incredibly gorgeous husbands.
While some of the most famous singers in the world have married other celebrities, others have married people outside of the entertainment industry who often fly under the radar. Some husbands walk the red carpet next to the talented singers they married. Other attractive hubbies prefer to live their lives outside of the spotlight as much as possible. Whatever their background, all of these singers' husbands have one thing in common: They are drop dead gorgeous. From country music icons to pop stars to American Idol winners, these singers have some really gorgeous husbands.
Singer Alicia Keys and her husband have dozens of Grammy nominations between them
Nothing says power couple like dozens of Grammy nominations under your belt. Alicia Keys and her husband, Swizz Beatz, racked up 35 between them by the end of 2019. As noted by Revolt, Swizz Beatz is a hip hop producer who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, including Beyoncé and Lil Wayne. While the pair didn't marry until 2010, they had known each other since their teens. "A friend of ours that went to his high school was like, 'Oh you gotta meet Swizz,' and she was like, 'Alicia's about to blow up and Swizz is doing his thing and maybe one day you'll work together,'" Keys said on The Wendy Williams Show.
Keys and Beatz ended up doing a lot more than work together, although it would be years until they fell in love. "Honestly, I didn't really like him that much," the singer told Marie Claire U.K. (via Us Weekly). "I thought he was too ostentatious."
She initially rejected the idea of working with him. "I fought it tooth and nail," the stunning Alicia Keys said. Why should I work with him? Finally, though, we did it and we had a ball."
Faith Hill's husband is also a famous singer
Singer Faith Hill and her husband, Tim McGraw, are a country music power couple. Their shared love for country music has helped keep their relationship strong, and has also resulted in some amazing music, including the duet "Like We Never Loved At All." The two were married in 1996 after meeting when Hill opened for McGraw on tour and have been going strong since then. "It's such a rare thing to be able to experience what we do for a living, and to do it together, really feels like all the moments are special," McGraw told People in 2018.
The couple has three kids together, and it's clear that they're just as smitten with each other as they were when they met decades ago. "Tim is the absolute best entertainer, hands down," said Hill. "He can bring a crowd to their feet with the motion of his hand. He knows how to deliver songs to the fans and make them feel like he's singing to them."
Dolly Parton has been with her husband for more than half a century
Country music legend Dolly Parton has been with her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, for most of her life. She and Dean have been together since the 1960s, and, in spite of Parton's long career and her extraordinary fame, they are rarely photographed together and Dean is rarely seen in public. Perhaps it's the fact that Dean keeps a low profile that has helped the couple stay together for so long when so many celebrity marriages end in divorce.
"I always joke and laugh when people ask me what's the key to my long marriage and lasting love," the singer told People in 2018. "I always say 'Stay gone!' and there's a lot of truth to that. I travel a lot, but we really enjoy each other when we're together and the little things we do."
She added that, while she's known for getting dolled up, she appreciates that her husband loves her inner beauty. "He doesn't care what I wear as long as I'm happy," said Parton. "He loves me the way I am."
Singer Pink is married to a professional motocross star
Pink's relationship with her husband, Carey Hart, has been tumultuous, to say the least. As noted by Rolling Stone, Hart is a retired competitive motocross star. The couple married in 2006 but separated two years later. The two were determined to make their relationship work, though, and they got back together the following year. In a 2019 interview with Carson Daly for the Today show (via People), Pink revealed that the pair had been in couples therapy for most of their relationship. "We come from broken families, and we had no model for: How are we supposed to keep this family together and live this crazy life?" said the mom of two. "And there's no book that says, 'Here's how to do this.' So we go to counseling, and it works."
The singer said that she credits counseling with saving her marriage to her handsome husband.
Shania Twain's gorgeous husband keeps a low profile, unlike the singer
The public doesn't see very much of Shania Twain's husband, but that doesn't mean the couple isn't going strong. Twain's first marriage ended in heartbreak when her ex cheated on her with her best friend. Bonding over their heartbreak, Twain and her best friend's ex-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud, fell in love. They tied the knot on New Year's Day in 2011. "I didn't want to love again — it was the last thing on my mind," she told People later that year. "It's just amazing how life works."
While Twain tried to resist her attraction to Thiébaud, their love was meant to be. "I rejected it initially," she said. "But I couldn't control Fred's love for me and how easy he is to love."
Her gorgeous husband didn't just help her get over her heartbreak, but also transformed her entire life. "My closest friends and family say they haven't seen me this free-spirited and happy in years," said the singer. "And it's true. It's definitely true."
Singer Barbra Streisand and her husband have been going strong for decades
Iconic songstress Barbra Streisand has been with actor James Brolin for decades. According to Good Housekeeping, the pair went on their first date in 1996, before tying the knot in 1998. Both had previous marriages. "I can't tell you how lucky I am that this would happen to me so late in life," Brolin said at their wedding (via People). "Every night is a new adventure. Sleeping is a waste of time. I can't wait to see her again in the morning."
According to Streisand, "kindness" is the secret to the longevity of their marriage. "The Dalai Lama says, 'Give truth with compassion...,'" the singer told Extra in 2019. "I used to use truth as a weapon years ago, actually, 'Well, you look fat, that's 'cause you're fat... I'm telling you the truth.' Truth with compassion would say it a different way ... I don't think you can take each other for granted."
Singer Kelly Clarkson married her manager's son
Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, met through Clarkson's manager, who happens to be Blackstock's dad. In 2012, Clarkson told the Daily Mail that she'd known him for six years but that he'd been married for most of that time. After he and his wife split, he was at the Super Bowl where Clarkson sang the National Anthem, and the two connected.
Clarkson knew right away that she and Blackstock were a match made in heaven. "Brandon's totally the one," the singer once told Cosmopolitan. "I've never been so happy... I've never been truly loved like I am right now."
According to Clarkson, who's had a stunning transformation over the years, there's a lot of passion in the relationship and it's a big part of why they're together. "To keep it family appropriate, let's say we're just a lot more active than other couples," she told Redbook. She continued, "When I met Brandon, I wasn't looking for a friend. ... I was looking for a lover. I had never found someone I was truly passionate about, who I wanted to stay in bed with all day. The fact that I did, well... I was going to latch on and take advantage of that."
Carrie Underwood's husband was a professional hockey player, not a singer like her
Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, have an epic love story. The couple talked on the phone for months before going out on their first date, which Underwood thinks strengthened their relationship. Underwood told Glamour (via Taste of Country) that Fisher was the first partner she'd really trusted. "Any guy I've ever dated, there would always be that doubt," she said. "'He didn't answer his phone... what's he doing? It's late.' I'm not the crazy-girlfriend type, but there was a little voice in the back of my head. I don't have to worry about Mike... He's going out? I don't care. It doesn't bother me. I don't bat an eye."
Underwood added that, as a professional hockey player, Fisher understood what it was like to be in the public eye and to live a busy life. "In Canada he was a big celebrity, so he knows what it's like living under a microscope," she said.
In 2019, the couple celebrated their 11th anniversary, and Underwood posted a touching tribute to Fisher on Instagram. The singer called him "[her] match" and "the iron to sharpen [her]."
Singer Ellie Goulding married her husband in a fairy tale wedding

"This weekend I married the love of my life, in God's own country, surrounded by the people I cherish," Goulding gushed on Instagram. "Overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you eternally to everyone involved in such a special time, including every single person that traveled from far and wide to come and celebrate with us at York Minster — a place that my husband and his family hold close to their hearts."
Jopling has had a calming effect on Goulding. On the Happy Place podcast (via Sky News), the singer revealed that she used to go to therapy to deal with anger issues, but said that Jopling has helped her. "When I met Caspar, this anger thing just went away," she said, adding that with him she "instantly felt calmer."
Singer Christina Perri's husband is an entertainment reporter
Singer-songwriter Christina Perri married a man who also has a way with words, although he isn't in the music industry. Perri's husband, Paul Costabile, is an entertainment reporter. Costabile said that he knew from the day they met that their love was meant to be. He was working as a radio DJ when he interviewed Perri and was instantly smitten. "She walked into the green screen studio and we got talking and I always did interviews and I was always professional and there wasn't one specific thing, like what she looked like or what she said," Costabile told The Knot. "It was more like our energy together. We're two kids at heart, and her spirit's like mine. We're just like two kids in many ways and to this day, we play around when we're trying to be adults. So I just knew."
The two were married on Dec. 12, 2017. They picked that special day for a particular reason: It was the day that they first met.
Singer Ricky Martin wed an artist
Singer Ricky Martin's husband, Jwan Yosef, is just as handsome as he is. The couple had an adorable beginning to their romance. On Radio Andy, Martin revealed that he first saw his husband on Instagram. "I'm scrolling and I see this beautiful piece of art and I'm like, 'Whoa, how cool! Who's this?'" he said. "And then I wrote to him."
The rest of their love story was inevitable. "Then we were talking for like six months without me hearing his voice," said Martin. "We talked about art — nothing sexy ... It was all about art and life in general. He used to live in London, I went to London and I met him."
The two were married in January 2018. "That signed paper is very special," Martin told Us Weekly a couple months after the wedding. He added, "Every country should allow us to get married because it's just natural. It might take a while but anyways, I just think it's important."
Singer Rachel Platten married an attorney
Rachel Platten first met her husband, attorney Kevin Lazan, in 2006 and tied the knot in 2012. "We just clicked instantly," Platten told Southern New England Weddings (via Heavy). "Kevin is kind and brilliant, he loves music and is an incredible movie-quoter, something I rate very highly."
Platten credits her husband with keeping her motivated. "I'm married to an amazing man, we've been together for 10 years, and he's a huge reason why I kept believing in my dreams," the singer told Us Weekly in 2015.
Lazan has inspired some of Platten's best work. In 2016, the singer revealed to Glamour that the song "Superman" was written for her husband. "My husband was going through a pretty tough time, and his dad got sick and we were dealing with that," she said. She continued, "I couldn't be there as much as I wanted to be there. I felt really selfish and like I wasn't being a good partner. And the only thing I could do was write him a song, right? I'm like 3,000 miles away, and I wrote him that song, being like, you have been there for me, very loving and very supportive."
Singer Jordin Sparks and her model husband make an adorable couple
American Idol winner Jordin Sparks married someone so gorgeous that he makes a living from his looks. The talented singer married model Dana Isaiah in 2017 and welcomed their first child, Dana Isaiah Jr., the following year. Sparks revealed that Isaiah is a great dad who stayed with her throughout the delivery, telling People that Isaiah "was right by me the whole time."
"When I was going to different places and different universes with the contractions, he was right there in my ear or rubbing my back," said Sparks. "I finished out the contractions on the bed and then we went to the tub. When it was time to push, Dana received him."
Isaiah added that being there to see his son was a powerful moment that brought him and his wife closer together. "People have told me 'Once you see your wife like that you can never change the image in your head,' but I was so excited about him actually coming that I was just like 'All right, come on! Come on!'" he said.
While Miranda Lambert is a singer, her husband is an NYPD officer
Country star Miranda Lambert married Brendan McLoughlin in 2019. Lambert met the NYPD officer in 2018, when he was doing security for an episode of Good Morning America that Lambert and her band, The Pistol Annies, were performing on. "Our record came out the day after Halloween, and we did Good Morning America," Lambert, who initially kept her wedding a secret, told The New York Times. "My husband was doing security there for the show. My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone. They invited him to our show... My security guy Tom, he was in on it too. He said to me, 'He's here. And he's pretty.'"
Lambert's husband might be a police officer, but he's handsome enough to be a model. Lambert, who was previously married to singer Blake Shelton, gained a stepson when she married McLoughlin, and they split their time between New York and Nashville. "We have the best of both worlds," Lambert told Extra (via People). "We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life."
Singer Kacey Musgraves and her husband are a match made in country music heaven
Kacey Musgraves and her husband, Ruston Kelly, are both country music artists. The couple were married in 2017, after they met at a songwriters showcase at the Bluebird Cafe. "His songs made me really emotional," Musgraves told Glamour. "I thought, 'This guy's really clever, whoever he is.'" The songwriters began writing together, but it wasn't too long before they fell in love.
"Everything was right," said the singer about getting together with Kelly. She added, "I didn't have to shift any part of my personality to make it fit together, which isn't really something I've had before."
She added, "That whole time period was a big opening of heart for me. I started to see the world in a more fond, pretty light. After meeting this person who really allows me to just be myself, not have to walk on eggshells for any reason, songs started pouring out."
