Signs He Likes You More Than A Friend

Have you ever been hanging out with one of your guy friends when suddenly... you feel the vibe between the two of you change? Like, suddenly you notice that he's looking at you differently, he's sitting a little closer than he usually does, or he's making excuses to have the two of you hang out outside of your friend group. He could be plotting to kill you, or (and this is more likely) he might be crushing on you.

But how can you tell if he likes you as more than a friend? While talking to him and airing it out is the most straightforward way to figure it out, there are a few signs that can help you figure out whether he might have romance on his mind.

He wants more one-on-one time with you

If you and this guy have a close circle of friends you hang out in, then an increase of one-on-one time might be a sign that he's into you. That could mean anything from inviting you to more parties to be his plus-one, or making long-term plans that err on the side of seeming semi-romantic. "It's a sign that he likes you when he starts talking about the future with you," says Dr. Terri Orbuch, Ph.D., author of Finding Love Again: 6 Simple Steps to a New and Happy Relationship (via Women's Health). "It's an especially big sign if he wants your hang outs to be one-on-one."

He'll also definitely try to make a little more physical contact with you while you're alone. If you notice his body language is changing, he's acting a little more flirty, or he's making more excuses to touch you, he might be crushing on you.

He'll be more interested in you and your interests

Let's face it, sometimes we feel that guys can be clueless (via AskMen). However, if he's starting to think of you as more than a friend, he might start to try to get to know you on a deeper level. He might ask about your family, what your interests are, or how your job is treating you. This may happen over text, via a call, or in real life, but he'll make a point to check in with you when you guys talk.

eHarmony wrote that guys tend to remember the details when they like you. He'll remember even the littlest things that you might not remember. He might even try to impress you by doing so. He could also start to want to know more about the things you enjoy, even if they wouldn't interest him otherwise.

So if he sits down to watch every season of Sex and the City with you, you know he's down.
