Below Deck's Abbi Murphy Already Got Married
Below Deck's Abbi Murphy has shocked fans by announcing that she's tied the knot with long-term boyfriend Patrick. Despite only sharing news of their engagement on Monday night's episode of the Bravo reality show, Murphy took to Instagram yesterday to let her fans in on the major secret. And we couldn't be more excited.
Alongside a photo of the newlyweds, a seemingly glowing Murphy wrote, "Yes... we actually got married. The wedding was at a town hall in Plymouth, MA. We are wearing home-made rope rings made by my dad's gf's elementary school student." She gushed, "My dad was there and it was a beautiful, meaningful and simple ceremony. We didn't want or need a fancy wedding because we only needed each other in that moment. Now we are happy, sailing, living in Greece".
Patrick asked Abbi to marry him via text
Abbi and Partick are believed to have started dating prior to the filming of Below Deck. According to E! News, Patrick is sailboat captain, who was originally Murphy's boss. Though Patrick is not part of the show, this week's episode saw Abbi reveal that the lovebirds got engaged via text. "Guess what guys! I got engaged tonight!" she told other members of the crew. "This guy said he loved me for the first time via text message, and then I said, 'I love you too.' And then he said, 'Do you want to marry me?' and I said, 'Yeah sure, why not?'"
Though it may appear to viewers that the two have rushed into things with Murphy only recently admitting onscreen that she didn't realize how serious things were between the two, we couldn't be happier for the couple.
