Is The Friends Cast Secretly Working On A New Project?

Jennifer Aniston broke the Internet when she uploaded her first-ever Instagram photo on October 15, racking up at least 14 million likes (and counting) on a snap of what appeared to be a reunion of old Friends. The photo showed Aniston with Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. Could that photo have been hinting at something... like say... a Friends reunion of some kind?

During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jen dashed our hopes by saying there wouldn't be a Friends reboot, however, Aniston did tease something. "Listen, we would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is," she told Ellen. "So, we're just trying. We're working on something." When DeGeneres asked if it might be a movie, Aniston replied, "No, we don't know. I don't want to lead people on" (via E! News). Aniston also explained that infamous photo as the product of opportunity — "The One They Took Because They Happened to Be In The Same Place and They Missed Each Other," perhaps?

If not a Friends reboot, then what?

No matter what we want to believe, creator Martha Kauffman has repeatedly said there will be no reunion of old Friends. She told Rolling Stone there were several reasons. "One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It's not that time anymore. All we'd be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone," Kauffman explained. "Two, I don't know what good it does us. The show is doing just fine, people love it. [A reunion] could only disappoint. 'The One Where Everyone's Disappointed.'"

So, it's not a Friends reunion, but they're working on something. What is it? C'mon Jen... spill the beans! We won't be disappointed, we promise.
