Jax Taylor Reveals New Vanderpump Rules Cast Members
Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules still feels like it's ages away (the earliest we can expect it is December, judging by past seasons), but everyone's favorite gossipmonger on the show is spilling the beans about some of the new faces we can expect to see hanging around SUR.
Newly-married bartender Jax Taylor, who tied the knot with co-star Brittany Cartwright in June, spoke to Life & Style at the Carl's Jr. Avocado Brunch for the launch of their new burger, and in spite of having a mouth full of food, he was more than happy to share all the juicy details of the upcoming season.
Who's joining Vanderpump Rules for season 8?
"I've only hung out with a couple of them," Taylor admitted, name-dropping new cast member Brent as, "One of the guys that I really like on the show that kind of joined our cast." According to the Vanderpump Rules stalwart, Brent is a New Jersey native who moved to L.A. in search of a job. Presumably, Lisa Vanderpump obliged.
Weirdly, Taylor is teaching Brent, a YouTuber by trade who needed "part-time money," how to bar-tend in spite of his own admission that he's "a terrible bartender." Still, the former model is eager to pass on the skills he's gleaned over a decade behind the bar at SUR.
What are the new Vanderpump Rules cast members like?
We can also expect to see a new female castmate named Dayna, whom Taylor's co-star Lala Kent accidentally revealed in July in an Instagram post. "The girls seem to be liking her a lot, too," noted the reality star. The photo, which has since been deleted, showed Dayna, Kent, and their co-star Ariana Madix chilling poolside.
Taylor hinted that Brent and Dayna won't be the only new additions either, teasing, "There's a couple other people, but I have never talked to any of them. They're kind of a little bit younger than me, so I don't really have much in common with them."
Is anybody not returning to Vanderpump Rules for season 8?
As for whether any of the core cast won't be returning, Taylor himself previously suggested, on social media, that hostess Billie Lee was off the show. When questioned by Life & Style, Lee acquiesced, confirming, "I am still part of the show. I just hosted brunch with Billie at SUR. But honestly, it's not my priority. SUR is not my priority anymore."
The actress and activist is working on a host of other exciting projects, so she simply doesn't have as much time for Vanderpump Rules as before. Hopefully the newbies can pick up the slack in the drama stakes.
