The Reason Catherine Paiz Didn't Think She'd Stay With Austin McBroom

Where would the Internet be without the Ace Family? The ultra-popular YouTube channel follows the exploits of Catherine Paiz, Austin McBroom, and their daughters, Elle and Alaïa. McBroom and Paiz make an incredibly sweet couple but, believe it or not, Paiz wasn't always convinced that things would work out between them. 

In a YouTube video where Paiz and McBroom answered questions from their fans, Paiz revealed that she didn't think that their relationship was going to last anywhere near as long as it has. "It's because when we met, every single relationship leading to that point has always ended," said the YouTube star. "And so my initial thought was it's probably not going to last, just because every other time hasn't. And I was at the point of my life where I was like 'I think I'm going to be single forever.'"

She did add, though, that she believes fate brought them together, and that she now believes their relationship will last forever. "I really do think that Austin and I are meant to be in every way possible," she said. "Literally, to every single extent, we are meant to be."

For McBroom, the relationship was a lot more straightforward. He told Power 106 Los Angeles that he fell hard for Paiz after their first date. He also revealed that he was the first to say "I love you." Paiz didn't say it back right away, though. "I wasn't used to that to be honest," she said of falling in love with McBroom. "I just wasn't used to like, things happening so quick, and things being so real so quick."

McBroom agreed that their relationship escalated quickly, but it's obvious that everything happened for a reason. Today, it's easy to see that the couple are very much in love and it seems that the Ace Family was, just as Paiz said, "meant to be."
