Queer Eye's Karamo Brown Joins Dancing With The Stars
Karamo Brown is getting the chance to show off his dancing moves. On August 21, Good Morning America announced that the Queer Eye star would be joining the celebrity competitors on Season 28 of Dancing With the Stars.
According to Brown, it's a good thing he's the member of the Fab Five who will be competing on the reality show. He said on Good Morning America during the cast reveal that he's "the only one with rhythm" out of the group. Brown added that he's excited to join the show and is also looking forward to what are sure to be amazing outfits. "I want the sequins, I want the moves, I want it all," he said.
Brown sounds like he's more than ready to appear on the show, and there is a good reason for it. He certainly knows the ropes when it comes to reality TV. In addition to being Queer Eye's culture expert, Brown also previously appeared on MTV's The Real World: Philadelphia.
The Queer Eye star has been crushing 2019. Earlier in the year, he released a memoir titled Karamo: My Story of Embracing Purpose, Healing, and Hope and also launched a podcast. His children's book, I Am Perfectly Designed, co-written with his son, Jason, is set for release this November. Brown has also been spending 2019 planning his dream wedding, after getting engaged to director Ian Jordan in 2018 after eight years of dating.
While he may have rhythm, Brown is going to be facing some pretty stiff competition on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Other stars joining the cast are Hannah Brown of The Bachelorette, actor James Van Der Beek, former NFL linebacker Ray Lewis, Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Lamar Odom, and pop star Ally Brooke.
Season 28 of Dancing With the Stars premieres on September 16.
