90 Day Fiance: Is Jay Smith's Girlfriend Pregnant?
The feud between 90 Day Fiancé stars Jay Smith and his ex, Ashley Martson, is getting even more heated. Smith himself is adding fuel to the fire by seemingly encouraging rumors that his girlfriend, Kayla O'Brien, is pregnant. On August 17, Smith posted a picture of a sonogram on his Instagram account. While the picture has since been taken down, Newsweek reported that it was captioned with heart eye emojis, but that his girlfriend did not post a pregnancy-related photo of her own, leading to speculation that it might have been fake.
Martson has previously alleged that she believes O'Brien is pregnant, and it's reportedly part of the reason she refused to sponsor Smith. Smith was detained by ICE on July 3 and was only released after his boss posted bail. Martson could have gotten her ex (to whom she is still legally married) released but doing so would require her sponsoring him for 10 years, and potentially supporting any children he had. "I could get Jay out of the detention center tomorrow if I wanted to... the fact that I refuse to sponsor him and sign his green card is why he's in custody right now," Ashley said on the Domenick Nati Show in July. "I would be responsible for him for 10 years."
Martson added, "There's already a lot of rumors going around that his girlfriend... is pregnant... From what I saw at court she definitely looked like she could've been expecting... so if I sign [for him] I would be responsible for paying his child support. No way in hell am I going to put my name on that line. There's no way."
In a recent interview with In Touch Weekly, the 90 Day Fiancé star revealed that she also has beef with Smith's family, calling his sister, Ornella "Poochie" Smith "trash." Martson's sister-in-law has leveled all sorts of accusations against her on Instagram (via All About the Tea), among them that she is on drugs and has a sugar daddy.
Martson revealed that she has taken legal action against her sister-in-law. "I don't speak on social media about her claims 'cause at the end of the day, if you have something to say, if you're going to out there and say things, you need to have proof, and she has none," she said. "I've had her served with cease and desists, and now we are pursuing legal action against her. She just needs to stop and get a life. That's basically what it is."
