Bachelor In Paradise Season 6 Premiere Date, Cast, Couples, And Spoilers

Who's ready for Bachelor in Paradise Season 6? Hannah Brown's dramatic season of The Bachelorette concluded on July 30, 2019, with the Alabama native ending her engagement and asking her runner-up on a date. Considering that Brown's Bachelorette season delivered twists and turns week after week, it's reasonable for fans to expect withdrawal symptoms now that the "most dramatic season ever" has finally come to an end. Fortunately, viewers won't have to wait long for their next drama fix, as the sixth season of ABC's hit summertime show, Bachelor in Paradise, has a premiere date of Monday, August 5, 2019. The show will air new episodes every Monday and Tuesday until the season finale on Tuesday, August 20. And, according to host Chris Harrison, the newest BiP installment is must-see TV.

"It's the best season we've ever had," Harrison revealed on the Bachelor Party podcast. Regarding the sixth season, Harrison continued, "I think it was groundbreaking in a lot of ways that you're going to see, and I think it will move the needle."

Here's the inside scoop on what is sure to be the most dramatic season of Bachelor in Paradise yet. Beware, Bachelor in Paradise spoilers ahead!

The ladies from Colton Underwood's season are ready to find love on Bachelor in Paradise

While Colton Underwood ultimately didn't walk away from his Bachelor season an engaged man, he did choose to pursue a relationship with Cassie Randolph, leaving his runners-up, Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin, heartbroken. However, time heals all wounds, and these two seem more than ready to soak up the sun and make a love connection or two in Paradise.

Joining Adams and Godwin on the beaches of Mexico is Caelynn Miller-Keyes, another fan-favorite from The Bachelor's 23rd season. Miller-Keyes has stayed close with both Underwood and Randolph since the season ended, even calling Randolph her "best friend." In addition to these three former Bachelor contestants, Demi Burnett, Katie Morton, Nicole Lopez-Alvar, Onyeka Ehie, Jane Averbukh, and Sydney Lotuaco are also listed as Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 cast members. And the list doesn't stop there — according to blogger Steven Carbone (a.k.a. Reality Steve), Tahzjuan Hawkins, Caitlin Clemmens, Bri Barnes, and Revian Chang will each be making surprise appearances throughout the newest installment of Bachelor in Paradise.

Hannah Brown's former suitors get a second chance on Bachelor in Paradise

As seen in Season 15 of The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown's group of suitors had its fair share of eligible bachelors worthy of a trip to Paradise

If you didn't get enough of John Paul Jones, the funnyman who insisted Brown call him by his full name, in The Bachelorette's 15th season, don't worry — he'll be looking for love this summer on the beaches of the Playa Escondida resort. Cam Ayala and Kevin Fortenberry, who were both sent home early on in Brown's Bachelorette season, will also be making appearances. And, according to Reality Steve, Connor Saeli, Dylan Barbour, Matt McDonald, and Luke Stone will be arriving in Paradise as the season rolls on.

However, fans are most excited to see Mike Johnson. The fan-favorite was a hit on Brown's season — and, while Johnson isn't listed as an original cast member for Bachelor in Paradise Season 6, a preview shows him walking hand in hand with Caelynn Miller-Keyes. Could Johnson's BiP appearance result in his very own Bachelor season? We can't wait to find out!

Will these contestants make a Bachelor in Paradise comeback?

In addition to former cast members from Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor and Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, the Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 will feature appearances from some all-time fan-favorites. Blake Horstmann, Wills Reid, and Clay Harbor — all former contestants on Becca Kufrin's Bachelorette season — will be making a splash in Paradise, along with Derek Peth of JoJo Fletcher's season. Chris Bukowski — who competed on two Bachelorette seasons, Bachelor Pad Season 3, and the first two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise — is even coming out of "retirement" to return to Paradise

Bibiana Julian and Annaliese Puccini, who each appeared on Bachelor in Paradise Season 5, will be returning to Mexico. Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 alum Kristina Schulman will later join the cast, as reported by Reality Steve.

While he's not listed as part of the official Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 cast, former contestant Dean Unglert will return for the newest season of Bachelor in Paradise, according to Reality Steve. Other contestants rumored to make appearances throughout the season include Jordan Kimball, Christian Estrada, Haley Ferguson, Jen Saviano, Chase McNary, Angela Amezcua, Whitney Fransway, and newcomer Kristian Haggerty.

Blake Horstmann is at the center of the drama in Bachelor in Paradise

Bachelor Nation fell in love with Blake Horstmann on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, leading many to hope that the runner-up would be named the next Bachelor. While that honor ultimately went to Colton Underwood, Horstmann will be back in the spotlight for Bachelor in Paradise Season 6. However, according to blogger Steve Carbone — better known to Bachelor Nation fans as Reality Steve – BiP is going to be anything but a vacation for this Colorado native

In June 2019, Carbone took to his blog to reveal that Horstmann has reportedly been romantically involved with a number of women in the months leading to Bachelor in Paradise, including Tayshia Adams, Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Kristina Schulman, and Hannah Godwin. Of course, since all four women appear on BiP's sixth season, Horstmann is going to have quite a lot of explaining to do.

"Basically, Blake let [the Bachelor franchise] get to his head," Carbone revealed. "[He] has no shame in hooking up with numerous women from the franchise, and it's come back to bite him in the a**."

There's a physical altercation in Bachelor in Paradise Season 6

As fans of the Bachelor franchise know, host Chris Harrison always promises that the newest season of each show will be, in Harrison's words, "the most dramatic season ever." While Bachelor Nation knows to take those words with a grain of salt, both Colton Underwood's Bachelor finale and Hannah Brown's entire Bachelorette season seemed to prove the host right. And, judging by an apparent physical altercation in previews for Bachelor in Paradise Season 6, the drama dial is only going to be turned up even more this summer.

According to Reality Steve, the fight will reportedly take place between contestants Jordan Kimball and Christian Estrada. Viewers will reportedly witness Kimball try and take a piñata from Estrada during a heated confrontation, only to end up in a fight that will ultimately bring his time in Paradise to a screeching halt. "Christian grabs his arm, and Jordan body slams him to the ground," Reality Steve's Steve Carbone revealed. "Security has to jump in and separate the two, and after a while, Chris Harrison says they both have to leave the show."

Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 will feature a wedding

There's no question that finding true love on reality television is an unrealistic idea, but that certainly hasn't stopped the Bachelor franchise from trying to convince viewers it's possible. Since successful couples are somewhat of a rarity in Bachelor Nation, the franchise makes a point to publicly celebrate the ones who do get their happily-ever-afters — you know, just so people don't forget that the process sometimes works.

Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson, who fell in love and got engaged on the fifth season of Bachelor in Paradise, are one of the newest couples to emerge from the franchise. The two got married in an intimate June 2019 ceremony at the Vidanta Hotel in Puerto Vallarta — and, of course, cameras were there to capture it all. According to People, viewers will be treated to Randone and Nielson's wedding during the premiere of Bachelor in Paradise Season 6.

John Paul Jones' Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 heartbreak

John Paul Jones, Bachelorette Hannah Brown's former suitor, proved to be a runaway hit with fans during The Bachelorette's 15th season. While Brown sent Jones packing during the fourth rose ceremony of the season, Bachelor in Paradise is giving the fun-loving contestant another shot of love.

As blogger Steve Carbone reports, this season of BiP will see JPJ strike up a romance with Tayshia Adams following a confrontation with fellow contestant Derek Peth. Trailers for BiP Season 6 show part of this confrontation, with Jones sternly telling Peth, "You're full of s***. You take advantage of women. Get out of my sight." According to Carbone's Bachelor in Paradise spoilers, Adams takes Jones' side in the argument, and the two remain a couple, splitting up just before overnight dates.

Carbone reports that he believes Adams to be the one who initiates the breakup — and, judging by this clip of Jones sobbing while Blake Horstmann comforts him, it's safe to say this guy is going to need a whole lot of chicken nuggets to get over his Paradise heartbreak.

Dean Unglert is returning to Bachelor in Paradise a new man

Fans first met Dean Unglert when he competed for Rachel Lindsay's heart on the 13th season of The Bachelorette, only to be sent home after introducing Lindsay to his family. Unglert then competed on the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise, becoming entangled in a messy love triangle with Kristina Schulman and Danielle Lombard. When both relationships failed, Unglert appeared on The Bachelor Winter Games and found love with contestant Lesley Murphy (via People). However, the romance was short-lived, and now Unglert is making his return to Paradise as a single — and sober — guy.

In an episode of the Help! I Suck at Dating podcast (via People), Unglert revealed of his most recent BiP journey, "For the first time in all four seasons, I've stayed completely sober the entire time." He continued, "I'm excited to watch it back. For the first time, I'm finally like, 'I don't have to worry about being drunk and saying something stupid on camera' because I didn't get drunk." He added, "I will say this was probably my best season of Bachelor since the first one."

Caelynn Miller-Keyes' rumored Bachelor in Paradise relationship

Caelynn Miller-Keyes is one of the newer members of Bachelor Nation, but the former beauty queen has already made quite the impression. Fans first met Miller-Keyes when she was a contestant on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, and, despite her long, confusing feud with fellow contestant Hannah Brown, Miller-Keyes was widely considered a frontrunner for Underwood's heart. However, the Bachelor sent her packing following their hometown date, and fans speculated that she would be named the next Bachelorette. Of course, that role was ultimately filled by Brown, leaving Miller-Keyes open and available for a stay in Paradise

According to Bachelor in Paradise spoilers, Miller-Keyes' experience on the show resulted in a romance with Dean Unglert, which fans will see play out when the sixth season premieres on August 5, 2019. A source revealed to People, "They both went to Paradise and really hit it off there, but then Dean got cold feet and left." The insider continued, "He got home and realized he really had feelings for Caelynn, so went back to Paradise for a second chance," adding, "Things have been going much better between them since they left Mexico together."

Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 will feature the show's first same-sex couple

In its 17 years on television, the Bachelor franchise has yet to feature a same-sex couple — focusing instead on predominately white, heterosexual singles. Fortunately, Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 is going to change that.

A trailer for the newest BiP season shows contestant Demi Burnett making out on a bed with another woman, telling the camera, "I don't care who sees this." In a voiceover, Burnett can be heard saying, "I know that I love this girl. I'm so happy that I found her." While ABC hasn't officially revealed the other woman's identity, blogger Steve Carbone reports that the mystery woman is Kristian Haggerty. According to Carbone, the two women were actually dating before Paradise, and Haggerty's "surprise" appearance that viewers will see was staged by producers.

However, Paradise will reportedly have a happy ending for Burnett and Haggerty. In a tweet posted on June 28, 2019, Carbone revealed, "Demi got engaged to her girlfriend Kristian Haggerty. Not surprised by that since the whole thing was pre-planned."

Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour find love on Bachelor in Paradise

Hannah Godwin stepped into the Bachelor Nation spotlight on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, receiving the former football pro's First Impression Rose and making a name for herself as a shoo-in for the Bachelor's heart. However, following the fence jump heard 'round the world, Underwood left the Alabama girl brokenhearted when he confessed his feelings for contestant Cassie Randolph, putting a stop to his relationship with Godwin before their Fantasy Suite date commenced.

Luckily, Godwin's friend and fellow Alabamian, Bachelorette Hannah Brown, eliminated suitor Dylan Barbour just in time for him to take a trip to Paradise and sweep Godwin off her feet (via Entertainment Tonight). According to Reality Steve, Godwin and Barbour become a couple after the season's second rose ceremony, kicking off a steady romance that ends with Godwin happily accepting a proposal from Barbour. Considering the promising track record of Bachelor in Paradise couples, it's possible that these two might have a televised wedding of their own by next year.

Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski have a Bachelor in Paradise romance

Katie Morton's chemistry with Colton Underwood was palpable during The Bachelor's 23rd season. However, Underwood eliminated the former LSU dancer in the sixth week of his season — and, while fans might have been surprised by his decision, Morton was not. "I knew there was a disconnect just by your body language," Morton told Underwood (via Bustle). She continued, "I have so much to give, and I wish that I would have gotten just a little bit of time to show you."

Fortunately, if Bachelor in Paradise spoilers are to be believed, Underwood's loss led to Morton's gain. According to Reality Steve, Morton's Bachelor in Paradise journey will end with an engagement to seasoned Bachelor Nation member Chris Bukowski. As fans may remember, Bukowski famously "retired" from the franchise in 2015, writing in an announcement, "All I've ever wanted is what many would call a 'fairytale ending.' I honestly thought that was realistic for me."

While we're not sure what inspired Bukowski to return, it's probably safe to say he's happy he did.

The next Bachelor might be in Paradise

Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette was notable for a number of reasons. From Brown sparking a national dialogue about sexual autonomy to Brown "pulling a Mesnick" by breaking things off with her fiancé and asking her runner-up on a date, The Bachelorette's 15th season will forever be known as a total game-changer.

One of the best parts of Brown's season was her group of suitors — especially Mike Johnson, who was instantly loved by Bachelor Nation. Though he spent most of the season as a frontrunner, Brown sent him packing in an emotional elimination just before hometown dates — and, while it hurt to see him heartbroken, fans were hopeful that the breakup meant Johnson would soon be named the next Bachelor.

As of this writing, the next Bachelor has yet to be announced — but, if Johnson lands the gig, he'll be making history as the franchise's very first black Bachelor. Considering that both Nick Viall and Colton Underwood were named Bachelor after their respective seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, there's a strong possibility that Johnson's Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 appearance will lead to bigger and better Bachelor-related things.
