The Bachelor's Chris Harrison Can't Attend Ashley And Jared's Wedding
If you're one of the many Bachelor fans eagerly following the upcoming nuptials of Bachelor in Paradise stars Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, you'll be disappointed to hear this news. The host of the show, Chris Harrison, won't be able to make it to the wedding.
The couple, who met on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise, are pretty upset about the news, too. "It's really, really, sad you guys," Iaconetti said on her podcast, I Don't Get It. "I think [this] might be the first Bachelor wedding he hasn't attended."
The announcement came just over a month before the wedding, which, according to the couple's Crate & Barrel registry, is set for August 31.
Harrison isn't leaving the happy Bachelor couple empty handed, though. While he isn't able to make it to the wedding, he did make sure to send "a really nice gift," from the couple's registry. Iaconetti added that Harrison "was very thorough and sensitive about what he said when he had to say that he couldn't go. Like, it was a very long explanation and it was very nice. Although it was very disappointing."
Harrison won't be the only famous face missing from the ceremony. Iaconetti said that Bachelor superfans Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were invited but that they hadn't returned their RSVP. Meanwhile, the couple's friends Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy were also invited, but said that they wouldn't be able to attend the Bachelor wedding.
Unfortunately, fans aren't going to be able to get an up-close look at the Bachelor wedding, either. "Jared and I never had a formal meeting to discuss a televised wedding with The Bachelor or ABC," Iaconetti announced in her Cosmopolitan wedding planning column in January 2019. "Word is that they're not exactly investing in TV weddings right now, except for small beach weddings in Mexico as part of Paradise."
The fact that Bachelor fans won't be able to see the wedding is disappointing, but maybe an intimate wedding isn't such a bad thing. After all, the couple deserve it after having spent so much of their relationship in the public eye.
