The Unexpected Guest Who Visited Hunter King On The Set Of Hallmark's Hidden Gems

Hunter King is one of the Hallmark Channel's most promising young stars. The actor has shown off her skills in several projects for the network, but one of her most memorable has been the movie "Hidden Gems." In the film, King portrays the role of Addie, a young woman who loses her grandmother's ring in the waters of Hawaii just before her sister's wedding day. Addie then hires a diver named Jack to help her search for the important piece of jewelry. Of course, Jack and Addie butt heads as they explore the waters, but Addie eventually rekindles her love of the ocean when Jack shows her all of the stunning treasures that Hawaii has to offer.

After landing the role, King gushed over the storyline of the movie, revealing that she was thrilled to be part of the project. "It was everything you could hope a Hallmark movie would be and more," she said during the Hallmark Happenings podcast. "They did a really good job, and reading it, even the whole time before I even got to Hawaii, just reading the script I was like, 'Oh my god, and then what happens?' The whole time it was just, I was on the edge of my seat reading it, so I'm excited for the viewers," she added.

To make the experience even more exciting for King, she revealed that the cast had an A-list star drop by for a visit as they were filming the movie.

King got a visit from Dwayne Johnson while filming Hidden Gems

During an interview with Just Jared, Hunter King opened up about what it was like to film "Hidden Gems" in Hawaii. She also admitted that she was surprised on set by fan-favorite actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. King revealed that she and her co-star Beau Mirchoff were filming on set when they were stunned to see the WWE wrestler-turned-action star standing before them after joking around with some of the movie's props.

"So Beau and I were in the middle of filming a scene where our characters had just gotten done with a dive. We had our wet suits halfway pulled down with our swimsuits underneath so Beau jokingly grabbed some of the air tanks from the scuba gear and started curling them to get a bicep "pump". Next thing we know Beau spots Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson watching us from the beach!" she stated.

Johnson eventually came over to introduce himself, and King says she and her co-star had a funny encounter with him. "He came over to say hello and told Beau he saw him using the scuba gear to get a pump and he was 'taking notes.' It was so funny and such a surprise to see him watching us on set," King confessed. Of course, King likely wasn't too star-struck, as she's worked with some big names throughout her young career.

Maybe King could even get Dwayne Johnson to make a cameo in a future "Hidden Gems" sequel.
