Paige Larson's Tragic Death On Days Of Our Lives

"Days of Our Lives" viewers first met the character of Paige Larson (True O'Brien) in 2013 when she was introduced as a love interest for JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). At the time, JJ was a bad boy battling legal troubles, and Paige was revealed to be a kind and gentle young woman who enjoyed giving back to her community. Although they seemed like opposites, sparks quickly flew between the pair. During the early stages of her relationship with JJ, Paige had been living with her cousin. However, in 2014 it was revealed that Paige was more connected to Salem than viewers knew when her mother, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), came to town.

Eve is a character that longtime fans knew well and was the longtime enemy of JJ's own mother, Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves). Once Eve found out that Paige was dating Jennifer's son, she wasn't thrilled. However, when Paige opted to defer her acceptance to Stanford University to stay in Salem with JJ, Eve schemed to break up the relationship.

Sadly, the situation worsened when a depressed Eve and JJ found their way to each other and ended up having an affair. Jennifer and Paige eventually found out about the betrayal and were deeply hurt by JJ and Eve's actions. Paige and JJ's relationship ended, and things took a tragic turn.

Paige was murdered by the Necktie Killer

Paige Larson's time in Salem was short, but it was certainly full of drama. In addition to her tumultuous romance with JJ Devearux and her complicated relationship with her mother, Eve Donovan, Paige was also revealed to be the daughter of Eduardo Hernandez (A. Martinez). This fact meant that Paige was the sibling of Salem fan-favorites Rafe (Galen Gering) and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).

Amid the chaos in Paige's young life, she was tragically struck down during one of the soap's biggest murder mysteries. A serial killer known as the Necktie Killer had been terrorizing Salem and after the death of Serena Mason (Melissa Archer, JJ found Paige murdered in her dorm room.

It was later revealed that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) was the killer, and he went on to take another life before he was finally caught. Sadly, JJ and Paige didn't get a happy ending or much closure in their relationship. In addition, Paige's heartbreaking death deeply impacted both JJ and Eve, and they used their grief to motivate themselves in very different ways. Sadly, the heartbreak wasn't over for either of them.

Eve and JJ both suffered greatly following Paige's death

"Days of Our Lives" fans watched JJ Deveraux suffer greatly after the death of his girlfriend, Paige Larson. He not only felt guilty for how he hurt Paige during their relationship but also that he wasn't able to save her from the Necktie Killer. After Paige's death, JJ decided to turn his life around and eventually joined the Salem police as an officer. Although JJ did move on with Haley Chen (Thia Megia), he was hit with another blow when she died after falling down a flight of stairs. JJ later left Salem to start a new life.

Meanwhile, Eve Donovan's world was completely shattered after the death of her only child, and she eventually left Salem to try to pick up the pieces of her life. However, all she could think about was getting revenge on Ben Weston for killing her daughter. After Ben received treatment and was released from Bayview Sanitarium, he fell in love with and married Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). Feeling bitter that Ben was living happily, Eve snapped, and she kidnapped the former serial killer and began to torture him. She drugged Ben and plotted to have him kill his wife, Ciara. Thankfully, Eve's plans fell through, and she was sent to prison for her actions.

Paige's death had a ripple effect on both JJ and Eve, and although the character is gone, she certainly hasn't been forgotten.
