March Aries Vs. April Aries: What's The Difference?
Whether you truly believe in the stars or simply look up your astrology sign for fun, our zodiac can actually tell us a lot about ourselves and give explanations for the things we do, think, and say. It can also help us determine our career path, our hobbies, and who we should marry. According to The University of Utah's Department of Psychology, as humans, we are always looking for something to help us understand our lives — whether we are trying to understand our past or navigate our future — and our zodiac signs help us do that.
So if you are hoping to better understand yourself, you'll want to truly know your astrology sign — and this is where it gets tricky. Sure, you might already know that you are an Aries, but did you know there is a difference between an Aries born in March and an Aries born in April? In fact, our star sign is unique down to the very second we were born, making it hard to generalize an entire sign into one group. Here's how you can tell the difference between a March Aries and an April Aries.
A March Aries is a leader – and they aren't afraid to show it
Aries are those born between March 21 and April 20, making the percentage of March Aries quite low. But that doesn't stop these strong-willed people from being the leaders of their packs. At their core, all Aries are proud and competitive, but a March Aries takes that a bit deeper. According to astrologer Nina Kahn in Bustle, March Aries are actually the true Aries as they are ruled by Mars and Mars alone, while April Aries have influence coming from other planets. This makes them super headstrong and competitive and probably someone you want to avoid playing a board game with as they will do whatever it takes to win.
In fact, according to astrologer Jaime Wright in PureWow, there are three types of Aries, and Aries 1 are those born in March (minus people born on the 31). These Aries are characterized as "relentless fighters" who will do anything to succeed. Some of the most famous Aries 1 are Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, and Elton John — proving that March Aries are paving the way for success in more ways than one.
April Aries are just as headstrong, but quieter about it
March Aries are ruled entirely by fire, with Mars being their only ruling planet. And while Aries born in April have a little less of that fire, they are still lighting up every path they walk down. According to Nina Kahn, April Aries have a bit of Jupiter influencing their daily lives, which makes them more likely to bend the rules and take a risk. April Aries are also influenced by the sun, which shows through their endless amounts of confidence and ability to succeed in just about everything they do.
Plus, according to Jaime Wright, early April Aries — specifically those born between March 31 and April 9 — are often CEOs of companies, leading others and doing it all with a boundless amount of confidence, energy, and success. If you ever see a group of people vying after someone, hoping to emulate them in every way, it's safe to assume that person is an April Aries. Those born April 10 through 20 have that same Aries confidence, but it may be harder to pinpoint as they are plotting their success behind the scenes rather than in front of it.
