Hailey Bieber's Glazed Donut Skincare Routine Unveiled
From being an international supermodel to founding Rhode Skin, Hailey Bieber has worn many hats over the course of her career. Less officially, the Arizona-born celebrity also wears the hat of a fashion icon and beauty influencer. When it comes to clothing and makeup, Bieber is usually one of the esteemed few who is setting the trends for us mere mortals. Thankfully, whether you adore her statement jackets or her monochromatic fits, Bieber's minimalist streetwear style is fairly easy to recreate with items that you already own (via The Zoe Report).
While Bieber has several memorable outfits that stand above the rest, the businesswoman has also recently turned heads with some signature makeup looks. One beauty theme that Bieber has been flaunting time and time again revolves around a beloved donut. Yes, that's right, Bieber has been rocking what she refers to as a glazed donut look on her nails and her skin. If you've been eyeing the star's glisten and glow, here's how you can recreate the look.
Hailey Bieber's nighttime routine involves two types of cleansers
As it turns out, a glazed donut is not only a sweet treat to sink your teeth into — it's also an equally scrumptious makeup look you can flaunt to look like a snack. Bieber revealed just how you can achieve her dewy dessert-like skin in a "Getting Ready for Bed" video posted to her YouTube channel. The Rhode Skin founder starts by removing all the makeup from her face with an oil cleanser. Bieber pays extra attention to her eyes, carefully rubbing all the eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara from her face. Then, she goes in with the second round of hydrating cleanser. "I like cleansers that don't get super, super foamy. I prefer something that's like a milkier, hydrating, nourishing wash," Bieber shared.
Afterward, Bieber dries her face with a washcloth but makes sure not to remove all of the moisture from her face before the next step. The third product Bieber applies to her face is a peptide serum, which she both lathers and presses into her face with her fingers. While Bieber uses the Biba Los Angeles Plant Stem Cell Peptide serum in this routine, the beauty guru also sells peptide-based products from her own line (via Rhode). "I love peptides. I think that's one of the best things you can put on your skin," Bieber revealed.
Your night-time moisturizing product will be a key tool in helping you look like a glazed donut
The fourth step of Hailey Bieber's nighttime skincare routine is moisturizing. The model typically opts for a relatively heavier moisturizer at night compared to the product she uses during the day. For reference, in her "Skin Prep For Work" routine, Bieber explains that she occasionally applies some Furtuna Skin Due Alberi Biphase Moisturizing Oil to her face before layering sunscreen on top.
"My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I'm not getting into bed looking like a glazed donut, then I'm not doing the right thing. Find yourself a moisturizer that makes you look like a glazed donut at the end of the day," Bieber advised. The Tucson-born star's go-to is the Biba Los Angeles Cream Barrier.
If you have relatively drier skin, like Bieber, the model recommends also going in with a layer of facial oil as one of the best ways to treat dry or dehydrated skin. As for those who struggle with acne? A dermatologist prescribes Bieber's spot treatment, but she also swears by Starface Hydro-Stars. All you need to do is place one of these little star stickers on top of a spot or pimple, and it will work its magic on your face as you slumber away.
You can pick up Hailey Bieber's favorite lip balm at the drugstore
Take a breather — you're almost at the finish line! There are only two more steps to Hailey Bieber's skincare routine: eye cream and lip balm. While Bieber tries to remember to apply eye cream every night (for preventative measures against crow's feet and wrinkles), the lip balm is the step that she never, ever skips out on. "I hate chapped lips. I hate when they feel dry, it's truly one of my biggest pet peeves," said Bieber in her nighttime skincare tutorial.
While some of Bieber's other make-up and beauty products may air on the more expensive side, you can pick up her favorite lip balm at a drugstore near you. In Bieber's opinion, Aquaphor is "the best lip balm." According to Ulta, a bottle of this lip repair only costs around $4.49. Not only will Bieber apply this product to her lips, but she also puts it on particularly chapped parts of her face if these areas need an extra helping hand.
Does your face look glossy and glazed yet? If you need a reference picture, Bieber posted a prime example to her Instagram. "Glazed skin all 2022. Tell a friend," Bieber captioned the post, inserting some donut emojis into the caption for good measure.
