The Young And The Restless' Michelle Stafford Shares Sweet Text Exchange With Her On-Screen Son
"The Young and the Restless'" Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) sure has seen a lot of drama in Genoa City these last couple of years. While some fans probably can't keep up with everyone who's ever played Phyllis, if there's one thing that has stayed the same, it's the fact that she's a headstrong, resilient, and maybe even ruthless person, who has trapped, kidnapped, and manipulated people in the past, as detailed by Soap Hub.
Yet, that all doesn't seem to matter now that actor Michael Graziadei is back in Genoa City as his character, Daniel Romalotti. As many "The Young and the Restless" fans already know, Daniel is Phyllis' son. And while the two have certainly had a very checkered history, that's not the case between Michelle Stafford and Graziadei at all. In fact, Stafford recently shared a sweet text exchange with her on-screen son that proves the love is certainly strong between these two soap stars — in the most maternal way, of course.
Michelle Stafford has a mom moment
Michelle Stafford recently shared a sweet text exchange between her and her "The Young and the Restless" co-star Michael Graziadei. In the screenshotted text, Graziadei explains to his on-screen mother that he skipped going to a bar to watch a hockey game so he could watch it with his girlfriend and mother instead. Stafford explained that the text happened right after the Boston Bruins lost the Stanley Cup to the St. Louis Blues a few years ago. In her Instagram caption, Stafford wished Grazidei a happy birthday and wrote, "Years ago when they aged my son on #YR I was completely freaked out having never played a mother to a grown adult in my life. I quickly fell in love with the Grazzzz as did our entire cast. He is beyond an outstanding actor. He is also an outstanding human. he is joy personified. It is my pleasure and the pleasure of every other cast member at #YR to have him back!!"
Of course, it didn't take very long for many of Stafford's followers to respond to the texts, including Graziadei himself, who wrote, "I freaking adore you. You are too kind." Many others said, "You guys always had the best chemistry! Looking forward to your scenes," along with, "It's nice to see the love and respect and positive energy."
While Phyllis Summers might not have the best maternal track record, it's great to see how Stafford truly cares for her fictional son, right?
